Glens Falls Interweb, Inc. (GFI) was founded in 1996 by Jeff Riggi, Roger L. Ahrens and Ray Stevens, all formerly of the Hudson Falls Division of Valmet.

In 1998, GFI acquired the Wet Laid Nonwovens machinery business from Valmet. The Wet Laid Nonwovens machinery business includes all of the technical assets associated with the Sandy Hill Rotoformer™, Sandy Hill Deltaformer™ and specialty forming machinery installations that were provided by the Hudson Falls Division of Valmet.

To support the Nonwovens acquisition John Harke, formerly R&D Operations Manager for Valmet Nonwovens Hudson Falls, NY, joined GFI in 1998 as Nonwovens Product Manager.

The Wet Laid Nonwovens machinery business segment includes spare parts, field service, papermaking services, process improvements, machine line studies, machine rebuilds and new machine lines.
